After the news that it will be free, The Sims 4, which was last mentioned in July and had improvements regarding sexual orientation, caused some concern. Even though the game may still be played to a certain extent, the extra content is what makes it so popular. But EA made it abundantly clear in its announcement that The Sims 4 won’t be dropped.

On October 18, additional packages that are only available to EA Play and EA Play Pro users will also appear. EA Play Pro members will also have access to the Toddler Stuff Pack, while EA Play members will only have access to the Get to Work Expansion Pack.

The Simmers who have supported the game for a long time and have played it before are will receive a present from EA! Players who purchase the game before October 17 will receive the Desert Luxe Kit with it. Epic Games continues to make their users happy with their weekly free games. This time, they decided to distribute a puzzle game, about which most players don’t not know much. In my opinion, Epic Games is saving big games for the their own Summer Sale. The games for the next week are as follows: Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead and Ironcast. Now let’s take a closer look at this week’s free game.

The Spectrum Retreat!

Dan Smith Studios – an independent company – developed the game in 2018. Ripstone Games has undertaken the distribution of The Spectrum Retreat. The Metacritic score of the game is sixty-eight. Its score is relatively low for a puzzle game. However, it still won the Young Game Designers award in the year it was released. The game, which has its own unique puzzle mechanics, blends them with the Superhot-like universe. The basic mechanics of the game are as follows: Focus on the colors of blocks. Switch different colored doors to jump or stand on them. Finally, the player has the opportunity to use these colors to teleport around the levels using specially placed panels.

During these puzzles, certain particles appear for the player’s use. After most of the levels are complete, the player must sleep, listen to Cooper—the “mysterious” person who guides us through the game—to piece together the story unfolding around them, and repeat the cycle. Its story is Portal-like, designed in such a way that the player cannot make sense of it at first, and throughout the game, if the player looks carefully at the objects and story elements around during the puzzles, he/she will have great surprises at the end of the game. In addition, I think it is a very nice detail that the game doesn’t include ready assets in Unity.

Horizon Chase Turbo, the nostalgic racing game developed and published by Aquiris Game Studio, first met with gamers on May 15, 2018. Hell is Other Demons, developed by Cuddle Monster AB and published by Kongregate Inc, was released on April 18, 2019. The game itself is a platformer, with shooting mechanics. It does have that retro feeling. If you want to distract yourself for a while, or like action platformers, definitely play this game.

The game looks easy, but requires a little bit of skill. Enemies pop up from everywhere, so you will be constantly shooting at something. Hitting these target, from time to time, can really be very difficult due to their sheer numbers and speed. You can either play the story mode or you can try to play the game with the score mode.

So, what is the story of Farpoint? Basically, the story begins after our character goes to the other end of the universe to investigate an abnormality. While trying to land safely on the planet, we fail and got stuck on this planet with enemy aliens. Even this short explanation is satisfactory enough to check it out. Maquette (PS5)

As for the last free game of March, Sony is giving Maquette ($19.99) for PlayStation Plus users. Developed by Graceful Decay, Maquette will have its first release on 2 March 2021. Since it is not yet available, we haven’t got a lot of information. But, we can say that it is a repeating puzzle game. Firstly, the atmosphere of the game is stunning.
