According to the Twitch data leaker, Felix “xQc” Lengyel was one of the highest paid streamers from Twitch, raking in around $9 million between August 2019 and October 2021. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, given that she’s among the most popular personalities on her platform.

While xQc is widely known as a former Overwatch esports pro, he’s undoubtedly also famous for playing on Grand Theft Auto V role-playing servers. Beyond that, xQc has been outspoken in the past and is no stranger to presenting its own opinion on a number of controversial issues.

Coming to today’s topic, xQc often mentioned that NFTs are not welcoming and they are a bad idea.

During the livestream on February 18, 2022, xQc stated that he was offered an “astronomical” NFT sponsorship deal and was delighted to decline it.

xQc then began explaining the terms of the sponsor agreement. The Twitch star revealed that the deal is worth a mind-boggling $1.2 million. His fans were delighted that he turned down the deal.

Famous Twitch streamer and former esports player Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek loves to give his opinion on generally trending topics. This time he criticized the popular MMO Lost Ark as possibly the most boring game he’s ever played.

The streamer specifically targeted the game’s difficult leveling system, claiming that this would be a major drawback for many players. Indeed, Shroud’s critique of Lost Ark stands in stark contrast to the game’s immense popularity. Lost Ark reached 1.3 million concurrent players earlier this week.

During the Twitch livestream on February 14, viewers were wondering if Shroud would play Lost Ark. Then he said, “Yes. “I can play Lost Ark today, but I don’t know how much fun I’m going to get,”. “When it was in beta, it was the most boring game I’ve ever played,” he added.

About an hour later, as his audience continued to beg him to play the game, Shroud gave up and entered the game.

Lost Ark, like many other MMOs, have a long and gloomy leveling system. However, the fact that the leveling bonus was not turned on during the beta period made this situation even worse. Now, when you reach the maximum level with a character, it is much easier to level up other characters.

Popular Canadian streamer Michael “shroud” Grzesiek continues to receive negative reactions from the community with his CS:GO vs Valorant comparison. The popular streamer mentioned that VALORANT is a more difficult and stressful game. On the other hand, Shroud also claimed in his last statement that CS:GO is a “boomer game“.

While watching the VALORANT Championship 2021 tournament, the former professional CS:GO player made comments that might have offended some people. According to him, VALORANT is a fast-paced game, and boomers (relatively old players) can’t keep up with it. As a matter of fact, this criticism can be perceived as a kind of reference to players who have moved from CS:GO to VALORANT, or as a compliment depending on the situation.

In a Twitch live stream, Shroud said:

You can’t have one boomer, you can’t have two boomers, you definitely can’t have three. You need to have zero boomers, if you want to be on top, and that’s just a fact.

There Are Inconsistencies in What The Famous Streamer Says!

He has previously said that the simplicity and design of CS:GO makes it a more suitable game for esports, although his current comments are different. Shroud has now called it a ‘boomer game‘ due to its slower-paced gameplay when compared to VALORANT.

He continued his critique as follows:

This ain’t a boomer game, it’s just not. Just like CS is a boomer game, this is not a boomer game. It’s too fast man. It’s not about being tactical, although of course, you can strategize and all that. It’s more about having every single player being able to adapt and think on the fly as much as possible. That’s what it’s about.

Shroud even called out former CS:GO Pro Spencer “Hiko” Martin, 31, who is currently playing for 100 Thieves, to become a full-time streamer.

So I am sorry Hiko but it might be time for you to stream full-time, join me. Join me man.

Maybe this is the reason why shroud does not like playing with professional VALORANT players, as they make him feel like a boomer himself.

Tuğkan “Elraenn” Gönültaş, one of the most-watched Turkish streamers, talked about Twitch Bit Scam controversy in his live stream on Instagram.

During the live stream, he said:

Twitch doesn’t quite do what it’s supposed to do. We can communicate, but we haven’t come to a conclusion yet.

The fact that my personal information and my family’s address was shared by scammers on forums and discord servers made the situation ridiculous. That’s why I haven’t been streaming for a while.

Elraenn said that in times like these, all streamers should be united. Later in the speech he said:

I parted ways with three people from my team. I’ve already edited Eightborn’s Whitelist from A to Z. 4-5 days pass over them.

You will say what is our fault, but do not care too much. Streamers need to support each other. Now we have to put these hostilities aside.

I hope Twitch makes the necessary moves in the coming days. The Turkish community and streamers are really fed up with the Bit Scam controversy.

As esportimes, we congratulate Elraenn for this attitude.

One of the biggest Twitch streamers in Turkey, Ahmet “Jahrein” Sonuç and seven other streamers gathered under the roof of “Rekkitz” to announced that they would stop streaming on the platform.

Jahrein and other Rekkitz members, one of the pioneers of the #TemizTwitch movement, explained why they left Twitch in the live stream they opened on Jahrein’s channel. In addition, a statement was published on the official Twitter account of the Rekkitz team.

In the statement, it is stated that they have been complaining to Twitch about certain issues for a long time, but they have been constantly ignored. All seven other members of Rekkitz will no longer be streaming on Twitch.

Jahrein stated that he has a contract until May and will terminate it if he can contact Twitch. The famous streamer has been on the platform since 2009.

Jahrein explained that he had to be silent about some injustices for a long time but because of his character he could no longer tolerate such injustices. He complained that Bit Scammers were still able to continue streaming despite confessing to their crimes. He even said that a streamer whose Bit donation was closed because of a scam opened a new channel and got a new partnership.

The Turkish side of Twitch, which has begun to lose its major streamers, still remains silent. It is wondered whether other streamers will leave the platform in the coming days.

pqueen, who is one of the streamers who support the #TemizTwitch tag on Twitter, has therefore become the target of scammers.

Making a statement after this cyber attack, Pqueen and KendineMuzisyen said that Twitch management should now do something. Pelin stated that the scammers who threatened her were able to do this because of Twitch’s irresponsibility.

In the tweets, pqueen said:

Right now, they shared my home address and phone number by sending bits because I was talking about the bit scammers on the live stream. What is Twitch planning to do? @Twitch

I am very angry right now. The scammers are so bold because of Twitch’s irresponsibility. I can block them in my own chat, but what if they write in another chat? What if they come and send bits just to spark discussion while the stream is down? What if they come to my house?

BBL’s partner, Kemal Can “KendineMuzisyen” Parlak, was one of the earliest streamers to support pqueen. Kemal Can criticized Twitch, which has not made any progress and has not shown any action for days.

In the tweet, Kemal said:

Will you do anything now? @Twitch

Twitch, which did not make any statement after this cyber attack, still maintains its silence. Decisions not taken will harm Twitch Turkey and its surroundings.

Alihan “deNc” İpek, the brother of Acend VALORANT player Mehmet Yağız “cNed” İpek, got involved in the Turkish Twitch Bit Scam scandal.

DeNc is one of the few players and many streamers that have allegedly been part of a money laundering scheme that was done through Twitch. Esports Talk content creator Jake Lucky made a statement about the controversy on Twitter.

In fact, the discord conversation between deNc and the person who sent bits was shared on Twitter.

In the messages the scammer says:

When I send the bits, no one should be in the chat. If you say Kojou, Kerimhan knows me, I gave him a sub 😀

In the arranged fraud scheme, bits were sent to Turkish streamers through twitch from stolen credit cards. Then, the streamer sent a certain part of the money back to the scammer while keeping some for himself.

Alihan “deNc” İpek Made Statement!

Later on Alihan “deNc” İpek made his own statement to clear his name:

A person named Kojou writes to one of Mehmet’s mods for a sponsorship meeting and states that he wants to meet with Mehmet. Then the related moderator directs me through Discord and states that he wants to talk to me. After our audio interview, he said that he earned bits by watching advertisements and sent these bits to major publishers and received a 50% commission, and explained how he got bits on the screen. I told Mehmet and my “2 friends” that I was close at that time about this situation. Even those “2 friends” offered me this situation by saying “let’s go through you” in order not to get hurt, but I told them that I “do not want to be an intermediary in such a thing”.

These “2 friends” asked me for Kojou’s contact information, I have no idea how the next process went because I never spoke to them after Mehmet left “that team”. The commission in the said statement, etc. The situation I received is also not real. If there is, take it out and prove it. Also, when the issue had nothing to do with us, the arrows were pointed at me as if I laundered $100,000 or if I was the ringleader of the issue. I repeat, I did not earn even 1 TL from this business and I did not force anyone into this business.

In connected news, The Turkish government has started to investigate the fraud claims. Supporting the hashtag ‘#TemizTwitch’, Deputy Gürsel Tekin said that MASAK (The Ministry of Finance) should urgently investigate the Bit Scam controversy and the judicial process should begin immediately.
