The CMA clarified its decision by stating the fact that the deal is blocked mainly due to the effects it would have on the cloud gaming market.

The CMA said it blocked Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision because it was worried the merger would change the direction of the rapidly expanding cloud gaming business and limit future innovation and options for UK gamers.

The regulatory authority contended that Microsoft’s suggested remedies had “significant shortcomings” and, had they been implemented, would have needed CMA control. The CMA said that rejecting the agreement would permit market forces to continue working and guiding the growth of the cloud gaming industry

Microsoft criticized the choice in a public statement: “The CMA’s decision rejects a pragmatic path to address competition concerns and discourages technology innovation and investment in the United Kingdom. We’re especially disappointed that after lengthy deliberations, this decision appears to reflect a flawed understanding of this market and the way the relevant cloud technology actually works.”

Many had expected the CMA to approve the merger after it said in a statement it had made in March that one of its three main concerns had been resolved by fresh information. However, the decision represents a remarkable turnabout.

The UK regulator’s decision in February to provisionally reject the merger, citing concerns that it would lead to higher costs, less options or less innovation for gamers in the country, presented the first huddle.

Including the CMA, several competition watchdogs are looking into the deal. The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) filed a lawsuit to stop the merger in December 2022 which was a foreshadowing of the deal’s intense regulatory scrutiny.

After Microsoft provided solutions to some of its original concerns, the European Commission, which is in charge of the EU’s investigation, extended the deadline for its investigation to May. In a few areas, like Saudi Arabia and Brazil, the acquisition has already received permission.

Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick expressed his frustration at the challenges and holdups in an email to staff that was made public, but he added that this was far from the “final word” on the purchase

The previous VALORANT Oni set was released in June 2020. After 2.5 years, it came back to the game with a new look. The skin that comes includes Japanese-themed weapon skins.

The previous pack included Shorty, Bucky, Guardian, Phantom and a claw-looking blade. These came with various nice animations. This Oni 2.0 pack includes the Katana Knife, Frenzy, Bulldog, Ares, and Vandal skins.

Oni skins follow the previous design theme, says Preeti Khanolkar, executive producer of VALORANT cosmetics. There are also bullet sound effects along with unique sounds and animations. According to Khanolkar on Reddit, unlike the normal design, there will be bullet sounds. They’re aiming for guns to make people feel better, he says. Also, Khanolkar emphasized that weapon skins have different color variations.

The new weapon skin will be added to the game with an update next month. Rumor has it that Riot Games plans to put the package on sale with the 7100VP.

With the new patch, magic champions such as Azir, Yuumi, Leblanc are going to change. Alongside them, ranged champions like Cailtyn and Ashe will get their share of the changes. Aatrox, Fizz, Jinx, and Samira are expected to be powered up, among other characters. Also, this patch has again nerfed the Aurelion Sol that changed last month. Riot continues making our Space Dragon weaker and weaker.

Looking at the upcoming skins, a few characters like Xayah, Miss Fortune will have new prestige skins with this patch.

LoL 13.5 Patch Release Date and Futures

The update will meet with us on Wednesday, March 8, according to Riot Games’ patch schedule. Meeting times with users are as follows:

What will Battlefield 2042 S4: Eleventh Hour Bring Us With?

In a blog post on its website, Valve announced that the Dota 2 7.31 update will arrive on February 23, 2022.

The announcement came after Valve announced a few days ago that it would release the update after the Regional Finals, but did not reveal an exact release date. In addition to announcing the update’s release date, Valve has also released the Aghanim’s Labyrinth Battle Pass.

After the 7.30 patch on August 18, 2021, five sub-updates were released in the months that followed, but they didn’t change the game too much. As a result, the game’s meta has gotten pretty stale for a while. While heroes like the Templar Assassin and Lion continue to stand out, only some heroes have experienced significant growth or decline during this period.

As the February 23 release date indicates, Dota 2 patch 7.31 will be released after a total of 189 days, making it the most anticipated Dota 2 main patch since December 2016. Since December 2016, the last time players had to wait this long was patch 7.23, which was released in November 2019, 186 days after patch 7.22.

The Regional Finals, which will take place on the weekends of February 11-13 and February 18-20, will conclude before the release of Patch 7.31. Neon is duelist number six in Valorant, and she bears the tag 19. Here’s everything Neon can do with her bioelectric kit, with details on all of her new abilities.

(E) HIGH GEAR

Channel Neon’s power for increased speed. When charged, press alternate fire to trigger an electric slide. The charge resets every two kills. During her high gear ability’s duration, Neon gains supernaturally high speed, outpacing other agents in VALORANT. She gains this ability from her radiant-infused bioelectric charge.

Neon will bring a new sliding feature for the first time to the game.

(Q) RELAY BOLT

Throw an energy bolt that bounces once. The bolt electrifies the ground below with a concussive blast upon hitting each surface. It works like Breach and Astra’s shock, making the enemy’s vision hazy. Neon can use this ability to slow down her opponents.

(C) FAST LANE

Cast two energy lines forward on the ground that extends a short distance or until hitting a surface. The electric lines rise into walls of static electricity once triggered, which block vision and damage any enemies passing through them.

These walls work exactly like Pheonix’s barrier, only Neon does it better. Instead of a single border, Neon creates a tunnel of oceanic bioelectricity. Any enemies that pass through the lightning walls get electrocuted.

(X) OVERDRIVE

Unleash Neon’s full power and speed for a short duration. Fire to channel her fuel into a deadly lightning beam with high accuracy. The timer resets with each kill.

When Neon is in her ultimate ability, she draws all her power into the tips of her fingers, firing laser blasts to whoever dares come her way. Neon unleashes all of the excess radiant-infused bioelectric charges she’s stored up in her battery-pack mechanism strapped to her back. 

The new agent will be available to play starting January 12. The community has been pretty excited since her announcement, ı bet everyone is waiting for her release date so impatiently.

In Mercenaries, players will assemble Parties of six heroes from among their roster and set out to complete single-player Bounties—a randomly generated series of battles which culminate in a bout with powerful Bounty Bosses. Every hero on the team will gain experience after each successful battle, increasing in power and gaining access to new abilities as they level up. Upon completing a full Bounty, players will earn a cache of treasure that includes Mercenary Coins, which they can use to craft additional heroes, or upgrade ones they already own.

The roster of Mercenary heroes—which includes over 50 at launch—was designed to encourage players to get creative when building teams, with countless powerful synergies for players to discover. Players can also bring their most formidable teams to the Fighting Pit, where they can square up against other players and earn experience, achievements, and other rewards.

“Mercenaries provides an experience that feels completely new, but embodies the fundamental spirit of Hearthstone,” said Mike Ybarra, co-leader of Blizzard Entertainment. “The team has opened up a whole new chapter for Hearthstone that captures its unique spirit, with a fresh mode full of strategic depth. I can’t wait to see the strategies our players will unleash on the world.”

Players who start their journey will earn their first eight Mercenary heroes just for completing the prologue and introductory missions. All other Mercenaries can be obtained from simply playing the campaign or via other in-game rewards. Starting today, players can also buy Mercenaries packs for 100 in-game gold each, or purchase pack bundles of different sizes from the Blizzard Shop. Mercenaries packs contain five Mercenaries items, which can include Mercenary Cards, Mercenary Portraits, or Mercenary Coins, which can be used to craft or upgrade Mercenaries. Each Mercenaries pack contains at least one Rare or better Mercenary Card.
